Frequently asked questions
Is Zero Colour really a permanent hair color without ammonia?
Yes. Zero Colour is a permanent oxidation color that, despite being ammonia-free, guarantees complete gray coverage and lifts hair up to 4 tones. The formula, with PTD instead of PPD, and the 1:1 mix ratio produce a thick, full-bodied cream that doesn’t run, with a processing time of 30 to 45 minutes.
What does it mean that Zero Colour is vegan?
This means that no substances of animal origin or derivation, nor GMOs, are used in its formulation. Zero Colour has a naturalness index between 80 and 83%, calculated according to the objective criteria of the international standard ISO 16128, which measures the percentage of ingredients of natural origin or derivation present in the formula.
Why does Zero Colour use PTD instead of PPD?
PPD (para-phenylenediamine) is a traditional component of permanent hair dyes, but it can cause redness or contact dermatitis in people with sensitive skin or those prone to allergies. Zero Colour replaces PPD with PTD (para-toluenediamine), a better-tolerated component: according to a study by Northwestern University Medical Center, 57% of patients allergic to PPD tolerate PTD dyes.
What are the active ingredients in Zero Colour and what do they do?
Zero Colour is based on three complementary technologies. Diamond Skin Protection, based on Alpha Bisabolol, has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties and reduces the risk of skin irritation during coloring. Shine Complex is a blend of active ingredients that provides intense shine and helps color hold over time. Sweet Protection, based on vegetable wheat proteins, restructures the hair fiber, leaving hair soft and easy to comb. Completing the formula are organic extracts of green tea, aloe, marshmallow, horsetail, and thyme, with antioxidant and emollient properties.
Who is Zero Colour particularly suitable for?
Zero Colour is the ideal choice for clients with sensitive skin or those who have had reactions to traditional coloring products using ammonia or PPD. It’s also suitable for those seeking a more environmentally friendly hair color without sacrificing a professional, long-lasting result. Thanks to its versatility—full gray coverage, up to 4 levels of lightening, and a high natural look—it’s suitable for daily salon use on a wide range of clients.
